1sts Win at Melbourne Head Regatta

The 1st VIII scored a narrow win over Melbourne Grammar in the first division of the School VIII event at the Melbourne Head Regatta. The 2nd VIII finished 3rd in the same event. Click here to see the results.

Great Results at Youth Cup Regatta

With current Scotch students Tom Simpson and Josh Booth together with Wil Lockwood (2006) and Lachie McKenzie (2007) in the Victorian Mens' team of eight rowers, the Victorian team won the coxless pair, coxless four and coxed eight event. Click here to see the results.

Gold, silver to Drew and Cameron

Drew Ginn won his third Olympic gold medal when he and his partner, Duncan Free, came from behind at the 1,000 metre mark to finish in 1st place in the Coxless Pairs event with Canada 2.11 sec behind in 2nd place with New Zealand a further 4.64 sec behind in third place. Competing in his first Olympic Games, Cameron McKenzie McHarg won a silver medal in the Coxless Fours event when the Australian crew was overtaken in the last 100 metres by Great Britain with France finishing 3rd.

Nick Bernard Wins Yoffa Shield

13 Scotch scullers competed in the Annual Scullers' Head of the Yarra from Hawthorn to the city. Competing in the tub sculls division, Nick Bernard finished 1st and retained the Yoffa Shield for Scotch, Andrew Emmett was in 2nd position and Andy White in 3rd position. It's 5 in a Row!

The Scotch College raced away from Melbourne Grammar in the last 600 metres of the Head of the River final to win the Fairbairn Cup for the fifth consecutive year. Click here for all the details.
